Dr. Rebecca West, Director of 3E's Equestrian Education Program

Rebecca has worked with children in Delaware public schools since 2007 and currently serves as an Elementary Assistant Principal in Downstate Delaware. In her spare time, Rebecca develops programming and serves as the Lead Instructor at 3E's. During her tenure as an educator, Rebecca has gained extensive experience in educational leadership, as well as in Special Education. Rebecca graduated with a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Wilmington University in 2015.

In addition to her work with 3E's, Rebecca currently serves in multiple volunteer capacities in her community, such as Volunteer EMT at Laurel Fire Department, as well as Volunteer Fundraising Coordinator for Changing Fates Equine Rescue of Delaware, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. 

Rebecca enjoys combining her passion for helping others, her love of horses, and her commitment to teaching and learning in her work with 3E's Equestrian Education Program.

-Our Facility-

3E’s Equestrian Education Program is housed at SpeakeEasy Stables in Laurel, DE, a full-care horse boarding facility that has served the Laurel area for over 10 years.

In addition to full indoor amenities, including a hot-water wash bay and indoor grooming area, the grounds at SpeakeEasy Stables offers handlers and riders an outdoor training area with round pen and full-size indoor arena to house programming – rain or shine! 

-Our Herd-

“Top Secret”, lovingly known under the barn name Topper, is an 18yo Chestnut Appendix Quarter Horse who prides himself on being the guy with the biggest personality at the barn. But, don’t let that scare you – Topper is sweet, goofy, and genuine, and would love to meet you and spend time getting to know you!

Cody is a 19yo Quarter Horse who supplies loads of patience and grace to his novice students. One of our herd favorites, Cody's quiet demeanor and sweet personality surely leave an impact on the students who he serves.

“Pull the Trigger”, also known as Trigger, is an approximately 20yo paint pony who came to SpeakeEasy Stables as a skin and bones rescue horse. Through time, love, attention, and proper care, Trigger has blossomed into the awesome little guy he is today. Trigger truly embodies the mission of 3E’s, to educate, equip, and empower the relationship between horse and human.

In addition to Topper, Cody, and Trigger, SpeakeEasy Stables is home to many other great horses who often make an appearance at 3E’s programming – come and meet our herd today!
